The stocks Badgercombe uses for its tables are selected from the finest of hardwoods and these are hand picked for their grain and subtlety. In the main we use Oak, Walnut, Ash, Cherry and Beech.

From the dovetail joints for the drawers to the mortise and tenon joints everything is hand cut for an immaculate finish and dowelled with wooden pegs to allow the table to settle naturally. After careful sanding by hand the tables are finished with natural oils or beeswax polish. It's just part of the real care and craftsmanship that goes into the making of each Badgercombe table. Each table is individually, although unobtrusively, numbered - providing a record of authenticity and enabling future generations to find out all about their table.

Commissioning

Because each table is bespoke clients decide on the type of wood, the exact measurements and any alterations in design to make their perfect table. The result is a piece that 'fits' their home in every sense.
